Topology Requirements
Every object passed to the simulator has to satisfy the following topology requirements:
- The object cannot contain any non-manifold geometry. A simple check to make sure that a mesh doesn’t contain non-manifold geometry: go to the Edit Mode, deselect all geometry, then run Select All By Trait - Non Manifold. No geometry should be selected by the operation.
- The object cannot contain self intersections.
- The object should consist of a single mesh part, with all geometry connected. If you want to simulate an object composed of multiple mesh parts, you should first split them into separate objects.
