Vertex Animation

VeeDynamics supports animating a subset of elastic body vertices in Blender. In such a scenario, the vertices being animated will not be simulated - their positions in time will always be set to positions determined by the animation in Blender. The other vertices (not being animated) will be simulated in the usual manner and they will response to the positions of the animated vertices according to the material properties.

Note the feature is only supported for elastic body objects (with the Mode property set to Elastic Body).

In order to determine which vertices will be animated, select an elastic body object and go to the Edit Mode. Create a vertex group named VeeDynamicsAnim (case is important). Add the vertices which you want to animate to that group.

If you only add vertices to the VeeDynamicsAnim group and not animate them in any way, the vertices will stay in place during the entire simulation (note the vertices being animated are not affected by the gravity force). In order to make the vertices move, you need to animate them in Blender e.g. using the Hook modifier.
